IBIS in Barcelona – new momentum, clear goals

07:00 a.m. - off on the bus to Frankfurt. All colleagues are still a little tired, but the anticipation is growing. Arriving at the airport, IBIS runs like a perfectly optimized baggage check-in workflow. A few snacks later, we're all on the plane to Barcelona - the venue for this year's Strategy Days.

Two hours later and somewhat exhausted, we land in Barcelona, from where a bus takes us to the picturesque Catalonian town of Mataró, 30 km away. Once we arrive at the hotel, we can really get going: relevant topics and countless inspiring moments will characterize our next few days. And at the end, we will not only return with new ideas and clear goals, but also with an even stronger team bond.

Inviting ambience

This charming city provided us with an idyllic setting for in-depth discussions and creative workshops. Perfectly equipped conference rooms gave us the opportunity to discuss and debate important topics in a focused manner. The agenda consisted of relevant workshops, focused discussions and informative poster sessions.

At our workshops, we not only discuss current topics, but also discuss new approaches and optimize our strategies/processes to adapt internal structures to current circumstances. This makes us more agile in the market and enables us to respond better to relevant issues. All colleagues are given the opportunity to contribute their thoughts and suggestions - a valuable opportunity for creative discussions.

In addition, some colleagues present topics in short info sessions to give everyone an overview of current or completed projects. This is not only useful for the exchange of information, but also an important tool for the bonding of all teams.

Special focus on team building

In addition to the work-intensive days, we also make time for activities that strengthen team bonding. One of the highlights was a trip to the famous Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. This impressive building by Antoni Gaudí moved and inspired us all. Together with culinary highlights such as delicious paella or tapas, we gained an insight into the culture of Barcelona. Shared experiences such as these promote our collaboration even more and further develop our team spirit.

Future prospects

After these inspiring days, we have fresh energy and motivation for the rest of the year - with clear goals in mind and new energy in our veins, we are ready to press ahead with our projects and are looking forward to all the topics that will develop in the future.

The strategy days show us time and again that many opportunities are open to us through joint, comprehensive work, open communication and the creative exchange of ideas. We look forward to incorporating this energy into our daily work and continuing to grow together.
